Although if you browse across the internet, you will find numerous other different techniques which are not included in here, but these methods are known to perform the job most effectively and they also don’t require you to spend a lot of money. In fact, I am sure you already got most of the items that are required.

Follow these techniques to permanently get rid of house flies.

Using Flypaper Strips

Flypapers are coated with sticky and poisonous substance and works great to trap flies and other similar insects. This product also comes with few other names such as fly ribbons and fly/pest control device. These flypapers are an effective way of killing house flies and can easily be created at home as well.

Using Plastic Water Bags

This one is very interesting and effective technique for not letting the flies inside your house. All you need to do is to hang a plastic bag filled with water outside your main entrances. As a result of these water bags, flies won’t be able to enter your house. There are 2 explanations to this which may sound bizarre:

Explanation 1: Due to the structure their eyes have, plastic bags filled with water would look more like a spider web to them. This automatically keeps the flies from entering the house.

Explanation 2: The reflection caused by water creates an unexplainable illusion to the flies which is enough to keep them away. Ever wondered why they hang water bags on fruit stalls?

Using Apple Cider Vinegar to Keep Flies Away

House flies are really attracted to the smell of Apple Vinegar. This is a simple and kind of automated technique to get rid of flies. You need to add apple vinegar in a bottle and wrap the lid with a plastic sheet. Poke few holes big enough so that the flies are able to make their way inside the bottle. Once they enter the bottle, they remain trapped there until death.

Homemade Fly Repellent

For us, lavender provides a really nice, calming smell, but many people are not aware of the fact that it can also be used as an effective flies repellent. Lavender fragrance has always been a great choice for keeping away insects from washed clothes. Lavender oil is also used as a protection from mosquito bites. Although lavender alone is enough to get rid of flies, you can also add extra twist to this technique by adding citronella, peppermint, lemongrass oil, pennyroyal and eucalyptus.

Using Cloves to Repel Flies

Similar to lavender, the smell of cloves are also not well liked by flies. For centuries, using cloves has always been a great and natural method to keep flies away. You can test this method by slicing cloves into few small pieces and adding some drops of lemon juice over it. Place these cloves on a plate and keep out in open. This technique is perfect if you are having your lunch outdoors. Alternatively, you can also wrap some clove slices in a cloth and hang it near flies infested areas to get rid of house flies.

Apart from these techniques, you also should pace yourself and not rush things, they require patience and effort. Some people are just too lazy to work on these issues even when they are aware of the harms caused by these flies. Take your house back from flies for good.
